The Puro Mission
The Puro Tour exists to give college golfers meaningful competition during the summer. We believe great players improve when they compete under pressure on championship courses against talented fields. Every tournament is designed to simulate collegiate golf while providing an experience players are proud to be part of.
Our Story
The Puro Tour was founded in 2023 by Luke Hofer with a simple belief: golfers deserve the same opportunities, exposure, and resources that athletes in other sports have long enjoyed.

Growing up around competitive golf, Luke saw firsthand how misunderstood the sport often was. Many people never witnessed the pressure of tournament golf - the countless hours of practice, the mental discipline, and the intensity of competing when every shot matters. Behind every leaderboard is years of preparation that often goes unnoticed.
The Puro Tour was created to change that.

Our mission is to provide college golfers with a professional tournament experience that showcases both the competition and the commitment required to play at a high level. From championship venues and multi-round formats to media coverage and player recognition, every detail is designed to reflect the standard of collegiate golf.

Just three years later, The Puro Tour has grown into one of the top collegiate summer tours in the Midwest. As we continue to expand, our commitment remains the same: to elevate the game, create meaningful opportunities for players, and build a tour that competitors are proud to be part of.

Meet The Founder
Hi, My name is Luke Hofer and I launched The Puro Tour in September 2023 with a vision of creating a better competitive experience for college golfers.
While I'm incredibly proud of how far we've come, I believe we're just getting started.

As we continue to grow, my focus remains the same: listening to the people who know the game best. By working closely with college coaches, players, and industry leaders, we're committed to continually raising the standard of summer collegiate golf.

Why I Started The Puro Tour
Growing up around competitive golf, it became clear to me that the depth and difficulty of the game is often misunderstood by those outside of it.
Most people see tournament results- but not the pressure, preparation, or consistency required to compete at that level day after day. The work behind every leaderboard is extensive, and it often goes unseen.
I started The Puro Tour to change that.
The goal was never just to run tournaments. It was to create an environment that reflects what college golf actually demands - competition, pressure, discipline, and consistency over multiple rounds on championship courses.
